Role Summary
Operates loaders, crushing equipment, dust collectors, conveyors, moves and loads rail cars, during operation.
Main Responsibilities | Activities
• Operates crushing system or loads rail cars with concentrate, practices good housekeeping
• Operates DCS system to start, stop, monitor, and adjust equipment for proper operation of the crushing equipment
• Uses shovels, hoses, slings, hand tools, to clean areas and performs minor maintenance
• Operates end loaders, forklifts, rail car mover, overhead cranes, rock breaker, and pick-up trucks
• Performs routine maintenance, including lubrication, of the crusher system and mobile equipment and operates within environmental permits
• Completes daily Pre-Task Hazard Assessments, daily inspects work area and corrects any potential hazards
• Inspects fire extinguishers, safety showers, and emergency lighting for proper operation
• Cleans working, storage and other areas as required
• May be required to train or assist in training of others
• Performs other duties as assigned
Education, Qualifications and Experience
• Previous crusher, concentrator, mobile equipment experiences preferred

• Report all incidents; including but not limited to injuries, near miss, community interactions and impacts, environmental impacts, spills, unsafe work practices, etc.
