Role Summary
Responsible for overseeing operations, projects and domestic water treatment systems at both the mine and mill water treatment plants. To lead and coordinate the safe, efficient, and effective execution of mining activities within your area of responsibility. Superintendents at Eagle connect strategy to action, turning site goals into achievable operational plans. They create clarity for Supervisors, build teamwork across departments, and support a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Their leadership directly impacts performance, engagement, and operational outcomes.
Main Responsibilities | Activities
- Provide direction, guidance, and support to Supervisors and other direct reports for effective daily execution.
- Promote teamwork, communication, and alignment across shifts and crews.
- Coach Supervisors in leadership, planning, and performance management.
- Recognize and reinforce desired behaviors and cultural standards.
- Encourage innovation, ownership, and employee participation in problem-solving.
- Ensure effective two-way communication between front-line teams and site leadership.
- Demonstrate visible safety leadership in the field.
- Lead operation for both mine and mill water treatment plants ensuring water quality meets or exceeds discharge permit specifications.
- Manage modification and expansion of treatment plants to ensure process can meet required water quality and quantity.
- Active interaction with maintenance, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure an appropriate balance of cost, schedule, constructability, and performance.
- Oversee contractors executing work to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and in line with budgets.
- Develop and lead operations and technical staff within the Water Treatment Department.
- Build operating plans for each site to ensure that water balances are kept in check.
- Ensure domestic water treatment systems at mine and mill are properly operated and cared for.
- Liaison with maintenance teams to ensure that the correct priority is placed on work to ensure plant goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Qualifications and Experience
- Experience with industrial water treatment, especially in mining and in heavily environmentally regulated sites preferred.
- At least five years of direct supervision of front line operations preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of chemical hazards, and how to operate safely around them.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field, or comparable years of operating experience preferred.
- Knowledge of local, state and federal construction and permitting regulations preferred
- Experience in plant construction, startup, and modification is preferred.

- Participate in HSEC training provided to them
- Report all incidents; including but not limited to injuries, near miss, community interactions and impacts, environmental impacts, spills, unsafe work practices, etc.
