Role Summary

Supervises the operation of the zero liquid discharge (ZLD) plant personnel and processes and makes operational changes necessary to ensure conformance to acceptable standards and specified water and solids (salt) quality. To lead and support front-line employees in executing daily mining activities safely, efficiently, and to plan. Supervisors at Eagle set the tone for safety, teamwork, and performance. Guiding, coaching, and supporting their employees to achieve results while maintaining a positive, respectful workplace. They are the visible link between leadership intent and field execution, ensuring operational excellence through care, consistency, and communication.

Main Responsibilities | Activities

  • Lead by example, demonstrating commitment to safety, respect, integrity, and excellence.
  • Communicate daily goals, expectations, and changes clearly to the employees.
  • Encourage open communication, active involvement, and idea sharing.
  • Identify hazards and act immediately to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Provide timely feedback, recognition, and coaching to support employee growth.

  • Support shift handovers and ensure company communications are passed down.
  • Visible and engaged in the field.
  • Supervise Water Treatment Plant personnel assigned to the ZLD facility and ZLD laboratory activities to assure that the ZLD plant operates within required standards to ensure compliance with discharge and permit requirements
  • Monitor operation of all plant equipment and processes and participate in routine and preventive maintenance
  • Responsible for developing weekly operating strategies to meet discharge permit requirements and operating guidance
  • Work closely with the WTP Facilities Engineer on process changes and plant upgrades
  • Make purchase recommendations for maintaining chemical inventory, laboratory supplies, instrumentation needs, and equipment replacement
  • Monitor and manage waste streams
  • Develop and maintain process SOPs and safe working practices for working with hazardous chemicals
  • Engage with operations and maintenance on a regular basis through HSEC Interactions
  • Demonstrate Eagle HSEC leadership to all employees including contractors
  • Monitors performance of electrical systems, circuits or equipment; notifies maintenance of any problems
  • May be required to assist Maintenance Staff with corrective maintenance of equipment
  • Operate special or heavy equipment as needed upon proper training
  • Responsible for managing 5S and housekeeping at the ZLD facility
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education, Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of direct supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
  • A high school education or equivalent is required, and college level coursework or technical training in Water Treatment, biology/environmental science or chemistry preferred
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to water treatment, environmental regulations and discharge permit requirements is preferred. State Industrial Wastewater certification upon hire is desired
  • Experience in heavy industry or domestic or industrial water treatment is preferred
  • Knowledge of wastewater treatment techniques, processes and equipment maintenance preferred
  • Knowledge in computer operations, data entry, spreadsheets, and word processing preferred
