Role Summary

The Electrical General Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and coordination of all underground and surface electrical maintenance activities in a safe and cost-effective manner.

Main Responsibilities | Activities

Organize, distribute, coordinate, and oversee all electrical and instrumentation maintenance work in all mine areas equipped with electrical devices 
•    Provide assistance during electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities and ensure that safe work practices are followed 
•    Review and approve all electrical and instrumentation drawings and make recommendations and modifications, based on technical standards and procedures 
•    Provide input into failure analysis studies and recommend alternative strategies for maintenance 
•    Oversee the development and review of the maintenance standard task procedures 
•    Collaborate with procurement and work with Electrical Planner to ensure that all the necessary maintenance parts and supplies are available to maintain the mine electrical and communications systems. 
•    Other duties as assigned. 
 

Education, Qualifications and Experience

•    Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related science 
•    4+ years of journey-level experience in electrical and electronic instrumentation maintenance 
•    3+ years in mining Electrical experience, underground preferred 
•    Knowledge of LTE communications theory preferred 
•    Knowledge of industrial electricity and safety practices, precaution, and procedures 
•    Instrumentation calibration concepts and procedures 
•    Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations pertained to underground mining

•    Participate in HSEC training provided to them
•    Report all incidents; including but not limited to injuries, near miss, community interactions and impacts, environmental impacts, spills, unsafe work practices, etc.
