Role Summary

The Mobile Maintenance Reliability General Supervisor reports to the Maintenance Superintendent and the role is to support the Underground Operations ensuring safe and efficient co-ordination of all mine mobile maintenance activities and improvement projects. This role is responsible for leading the Underground and surface Mobile Maintenance team, guiding and supporting the supervision of the maintenance operation.

Main Responsibilities | Activities

•    Display a clear commitment to safety and health and seek to eliminate or control the risks of injury and/or damage to equipment.
•    Manage all activities in a manner that prevents pollution and minimizes damage to the natural environment.
•    Coordinate the daily management, control and supervision of the working areas of the maintenance team in accordance with Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Act & Regulations.
•    Supervise and provide direction to the Mobile maintenance planner, Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, and Maintenance Technicians. 
•    Actively promote and engage in continuous improvement of Mine Maintenance processes. 
•    Responsible for efficient execution of mine maintenance activities to meet the needs of the operations groups. 
•    Develop and implement regular maintenance strategies and schedules based on predictive and preventative maintenance data.
•    Conducting failure analysis and root cause investigations to identify why systems or components failed.
•    Designing and executing reliability tests to ensure that equipment operates in accordance with its specifications and safety standards.
•    Collaborating with other engineering and maintenance teams to integrate new technologies and methods that increase reliability and performance.
•    Using statistical tools and software to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve system reliability and performance.
•    Preparation of reports and documentation to record findings and to make recommendations to senior management.
•    Develop operator basic care for all fleets  
•    Undertake a full inspection of all working areas in the mine throughout the shift as required to ensure safe operations.  
•    Develop a culture of high performance and behaviors that are consistent with agreed values
•    Collaboratively work with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to meet the company objectives. 
•    Other duties as assigned. 

Education, Qualifications and Experience

•    10+ years of heavy equipment maintenance experience 
•    Journeyperson, Technical Diploma, or Engineering degree preferred 
•    Ability to independently make complex decisions 
•    Sound knowledge of maintenance, and maintenance planning of heavy mining equipment 
•    Good understanding of mining operations 
•    Ability to create and work within high performing teams
