Role Summary

MAIN PURPOSE: Support Mine Operations with all underground projects pertaining to mine optimization, resource extraction, and safety improvements.

Job Description

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:
•    Review, investigate, and develop recommendations regarding all underground engineering projects
•    Act as technical expert on a wide range of small to medium site construction, expansion, and modification projects
•    Develop and communicate project plan to mine planning and contractor to ensure projects stay on plan and budget
•    Track and report project compliance to plan, actual vs planned spend monthly
•    Liaise with key stakeholders throughout the project phases
•    Ensure all mine site projects are delivered in line with Eagle Mine HSE standards and policies
•    Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
•    Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Engineering field; appropriate combination of education and experience may be acceptable in lieu of degree requirements
•    3-5 years of professional experience (technical and/or operations); underground experience required
•    Experience with project scheduling and budgeting required
•    Project management experience preferred
•    Experience with Deswik Suite, VentSim, Microsoft Office Suite preferred

•    Participate in HSEC training provided to them
•    Report all incidents; including but not limited to injuries, near miss, community interactions and impacts, environmental impacts, spills, unsafe work practices, etc.
